I went to see AM and Francois last night. I was a lot late, and Andrew had a Tesco Finest meal in The Oven for me. THeir house is changing, which is strange. But it's still their house. Not as soon as I had taken off my coat Francois announced he had something for me. He has started painting pictures with the coloured pencils AM got him for christmas, you know the ones which when you put water on them make water colour. I am very proud to take this picture home with me, for it captures something about me, I look like a kid, and I'm staring into space, but it's sweet, and it captures how I feel sometimes. I think Francois is going to be a great painter someday. I am jelous of the odd couple thing, these two boys have got going on here. Both of them just getting on with loads of stuff and inspiring each other every day, it's so beat, but with out the misogyny.
AM is back from New York and saying I should paint and asking me to be ambitious, Jesus... I am ambitious enuff. He says you can paint and draw and make installation and sculpture and films, and be like me. But I am like me. I do things like me I think. secretly I am annoyed at him for saying that I am not ambitious enuff. I will paint proberly, but paint when I am ready. He shows me his show, and all the video footage of NY. A collector/ muses apartment with Gargoyles which over looks iceskaters in Central Park, and a dance competition he went to. He showed me this magazine, I liked it. http://www.uselessmagazine.com/ It has Les Georges Leningrad in it. I like the sound of them. Rosie is mad about them. http://www.alien8recordings.com/georges.php3 Then we watched Manhattan, it's so old school and fabulous and of it's time and black and white and Rhapsody in Blue. I used to play Gershwin a lot, maybe I should play some more. I think it would be good to draw to. |

| When I was young it uses to snow much more. |

When I was young it used to snow so much more, this is obvious it's what we know. So I thought I would write some memories of the snow when I was little. I don't think it's even gonna snow here, but I thought I would write about the snow when I was little just when it was on my mind.
I remember the snow on the intercity, from London to Birmingham, when the trains looked all brown and yellow, with the old school Bristish rail logo. The snow on the farm just before Chrstmas one year that let us be of school, and making CHristmas hats for the CHristmas lunch party. ONe year the snow was so deep that it drifted across the road and me and my brother went out in it in the dark on our own and adventured along for quite some time in it. We used to go tobogoning at Ide Hill. I remember being off school for days and weeks and parks and golf course turning into winter wonderlands. I havn't seen a lot of snow for some time, and I want to. |
